Students are currently creating a drawing in class using a technique called stippling, drawing with multiple dots. For their next sketchbook assignment I would like students to draw an arrangement of fruit (pictures found online are ok {more than 1 fruit}) or a hand using hatching and cross hatching. Students will be evaluated on 4 categories: Value: 5 pts Does the student have a full value range using hatching and crosshatching. A full value range consist of 6 or more values. No outlines! Composition: 5 pts Students used the entire page in their sketchbook and left little background/negative space Effort: 5pts Students tried and put it in effort to make their drawing look nice and the craft is clean. Shape: 5pts the objects are accurately drawn. For examples of crosshatching and hatching I have included examples. Please not these examples are just to show crosshatching-not what the subject matter should be.
